Exciting!

I think I have told a few of you, but the big event for commercial designers around the world is called NEOCON. It happens every year in the middle of June in Chicago. Basically designers from all over the world come to the Mart in Chicago to see all the new products that manufacturers are unveiling for that specific year. It is fabulous - touring showrooms all day, hanging out in Chicago and getting wined and dined by all the manufacturer's reps.

Every year, our firm selects 4 designers to go. The firm pays for everything and even gives you a couple hundred dollars worth of spending money to play with. The decision on who is selected to go is based on seniority and contribution to the firm. Well...this year I get to go! It is from June 12th - 16th. Another perk of the trip is that the reps who call on us here at work daily (who sell carpet, wallcovering, furniture, etc.) will be taking us out every night to some really great restaurants in Chicago and then out afterwards. Yay!
