Is it Friday yet?

Okay so its now Tuesday and I am soooo wishing it were still the weekend. Especially since it looks oh-so-beautiful outside right now and I am sitting in an office cubicle. I can fill everyone in on what we did this weekend!

Friday - got off work at a decent hour. Ran home and worked out quickly (in a future post I will update you all on my diet/working out regimen - trying to get in shape for SUMMER). This weekend, both my family and Ryals' family were in town so we basically shopped and ate at good restaurants the whole weekend. Thursday night we had dinner with my family at Pricci, so Friday night we met up with Ryals' dad, his girlfriend Alicia (she had flown in from Toronto, where she lives), Ryals' brother James and their Uncle Clay and Aunt Virginia (not blood related, but probably closer to them than anyone). We went to a really great place called Joel Brasserie off of Northside. I had eaten there years ago, but couldn't really remember how it was. Well, turns out it was FANTASTIC! They have really great French food. We also got a tour of the kitchen after our meal. So cool!

Saturday we met my mom at Lenox and had lunch with her and then shopped for a little bit (Ryals hung around for a few stores, but then hit the road once my dad left). Saturday night we met my parents at their hotel for some drinks and ran into some of Ryals' college friends. We ended up all getting a table and drinking, talking, etc. After that, we had reservations at JCT Kitchen (my favorite) where we were supposed to meet up with two other couples (friends of my parents). Well, turns out both couples BAILED on us, so it ended up being just the 4 of us (which was nice).

Sunday - went to church at Peachtree United Methodist Church. What a great church! The service was PACKED and the Palm Sunday service included a LIVE DONKEY (hahaha). Craziness! The Pastor there was the Pastor at FUMC of Athens while we were in college, so we really like him. After church, we all hit up Whitehouse Restaurant (delicious little diner type place next door to the church). My parents hit the road. Ryals and I watched "Law Abiding Citizen" - has anyone seen that movie? Oh my goodness, it was intense, but very good. Gerard Butler is awesome. I would recommend it, but it is very intense and GORY. I had to cover my eyes a bunch. That movie somewhat reminded me of "The Life of David Gale" (which I also recommend). We also watched "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" with Matthew McConaughey. That is such a cute movie that girls and boys would both enjoy.

Sooo...I think that is it. This weekend my plans are to go to Rome for Easter. I hope we get off early Friday! The next two weekends after that I will also be traveling, so I'll have some good stuff to discuss/photos. Bye bye!

XOXOXOXO
